The Toronto Fiesta Extravaganza is excited to announce that Rachel Alejandro will be our special guest for the event.
On top of being a talented singer and songwriter, Rachel Alejandro is also a talented actress. She has joined the cast of the American murder mystery movie Sinister Cover-up. She has also appeared in several shows such as Quezon’s Game, Ang Larawan, and Halik sa Apoy.
Her theater experience began with The Sound of Music at eight years of age, then Peter Pan at 15, Noli Me Tangere at 18, then Alikabok at 21, followed by Sino Ka Ba Jose Rizal, Larawan, and Fire Water Woman.
The renowned singer-songwriter and performer, Rachel Alejandro has been the toast of the
town since her debut in the Philippine music scene. Her powerful rendition of the song earned her the Awit Award for Best Performance by a Female Recording Artist and the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Foundation Award for Best Female Singer/Entertainer. May Minamahal, which contained the award-winning single “Babalik-balikan”, became Alejandro’s first platinum album in 1992.
That same year, her career got another boost when she competed at the Golden Stag International Song Festival in Brasov, Romania, winning the award for Best Interpretation of a Romanian song.
This year, she will give life to her first ABS CBN series character Nathalia Lucero in The Broken Marriage Vow. Nathalia was an aspiring beauty queen before she met and fell in love at a very young age with husband Fred (Art Acuña).
