Fiesta Extravaganza 2022 is coming to Ontario and Quebec this summer!
The Fiesta Extravaganza in Canada is back, and everyone is excited. After 2 years of pandemic restrictions, we are thrilled to invite everyone to join us on this special event as we celebrate Filipino Heritage Month all over Canada from coast to coast.
This will be a month-long festival giving recognition to all Filipinos who have made a mark in Canadian history and culture. Aside from food, music, dance, art and cultural performers that will entertain you for hours, there’s so much more that you can expect from this year’s Fiesta Extravaganza!
This year we will be bringing our Aklan traditions and culture to this event. Aklan is known for its annual festival Ati-Atihan, which is held annually in January in honor of the Santo Niño (Holy Child or Infant Jesus) in several towns of the province of Aklan, Panay Island. The biggest celebration is held during the third Sunday of January in the town of Kalibo.
The Fiesta Extravaganza will kick off in five major cities in Ontario and Quebec including Vaughan (June 25 & 26), Toronto (July 9 &10) , Niagara Falls (July 30), Montreal (August 27), and Hamilton (August 13 &14), which just recently joined the event.
As we recover from the pandemic, it’s more important than ever to come together as a community and celebrate our heritage in the most fun way possible! We’ve expanded our vendors, added more exhibitors and sponsors, and we have a ton of exciting performers and volunteers joining us this year.
The Filipino Canadian community is one of the most vibrant and engaged communities in Canada and we are proud to have been part of the journey. We have had the privilege to work with some of the most accomplished Filipino Canadian performers and celebrities from TFC and ABS-CBN.
This year’s main highlights of the festival are: Non-Stop Entertainment, Musical Extravaganza, Cultural Heritage Presentation, Games, 50/50 Bingo, Kabayan Remit Kwarta o Bayong, Celebrity Guests and more. We are bringing together Filipino artists and cultural groups from Canada and the Philippines to celebrate our heritage.
We can’t wait to see everyone’s smiling faces as they get together again with friends, family members, and our incredible community!
